But honestly, after my visit to Sister Sister African Braiding, I'm convinced they've already mastered the next best thing: superhuman speed! I walked in expecting to spend five hours getting my box braids done, but to my surprise, in less than 1.5 hours, my hair was braided and they were already adding the finishing touches. Two professional braiders started on my hair a little after 8:05 AM, and by 9:38 AM, they were prepping the curls at the ends. Even the other clients were amazed -- and trust me, I have thick hair! Prices for box braids start around $200, and if you request two braiders at once, the cost may be a bit higher -- but totally worth it for the speed and quality.
