My husband died in 2021. We had selected Science Care in 2004 so I wasn't sure if we still qualified. I called Science Care the day after he died and they retrieved the body, cremated it and sent the cremains back to me. They were kind and very considerate in all aspects of the situation. I am truly glad that Eric could contribute to future health care by his donation.
I strongly recommend this organization. It is difficult making arrangements when your loved one is not yet deceased, so I especially appreciate and am grateful for the professionalism and compassionate care shown to me. While it is devastating that my late husband is no longer here, I am VERY grateful that he was taken care of with dignity. Also, what helps is knowing that even though he is no longer here on earth, his donation to Science Care will have lingering and ongoing effect on the healthcare of many. Also, I plan to have my body donated when it is my time. To know that I can go on helping people warms my heart and means a lot to me.
I am a lady who is very spiritual, and indeed I had a brief near death experience early in my life. I therefore realized that our spirit/soul cannot die whilst our physical body does.
Also, I have volunteered in many areas where I felt I could help people. This included in hospice. Watching the looks on older people's faces when they realized that there certainly is Heaven which awaits.
Therefore, when my late husband's cancer caused his earthly life to be close to the end, I wanted to use his body to help other people wherever possible.
