We have been with Mountainside Martial Arts for over a year now, and my son has truly thrived here. He gets challenged yet has moments that he succeeds and moves up, and this keeps him motivated. His confidence has gone up, and his social skills have massively improved, as he is homeschooled, so it was a concern.

I took Karate from this man in the 1970's. 2 years ago, on two separate occasions I was attacked in Los Angeles I was attacked. Both were bigger than me, one much bigger than me, the smaller one had a large switch blade.I do practice Karate still 3 to maybe 5 times a year. But in both of these cases I took the men out quickly. The very large man looked very surprised as I beat him up as I am only 5ft 8' the man who attacked me was over 6ft 5in and 30 years younger.Yeah Toshio is the best teacher on this subject I a know of. Not only is my son learning and loving karate, his confidence and self-efficacy has grown exponentially. The MMAC and the team of dedicated sanseis are fantastic and make each child feel valued. Highly recommended!!!
