Was a patient for more than one year with Dr. Villares who is the most talented surgeon I've ever had (he was number 8.) He's compassionate, intelligent, talented and puts in tremendous effort to deliver the best possible care. I've had half a dozen surgeries with him (I had lost more than 100 pounds before I went to see him so had a LOT of skin to be removed). He and his staff have been nothing but professional. Two of my surgeries were done in hospital and staff speak highly of him and told me that all of his patients love him. With my first surgery I suspect the aide thought the vitals machine was malfunctioning because my BP, heart rate, and respirations were low normal. She kept shaking her head at the numbers. I said, "They're right. I don't have any anxiety. Dr. Villares has already done surgery on me. He's the best. I already know the outcome." And I was right, that surgery like the others, was flawless. This Board-certified surgeon offers free consultations, is fluent in Spanish, and extremely affordable. I've never had a second's hesitation recommending him without reservation to anyone because I know he will provide the best care and he keeps improving his surgeries which is hard to do when they were A+ to start with. I've had surgeries in his OR as well. Unlike many, he does not tack on a "facility fee" so you get an accurate price quote that is very reasonable with no surprises. He will monitor you before and after with a body composition scale that indicates your body fat, water content, muscle, etc. so you can follow your progress if you are there to lose weight. This is a nice addition as it allows you to see what your actual fat status is even if on some visit you are retaining water (higher weight) or dehydrated (probably lower). I am sure some become discouraged when the scale does not tell the full story; with this one, you get more than just weight, but an analysis. As he also works out, he has a real appreciation of what it takes to deal with weight issues. I've never seen any hypocrisy in him. (Weight has been an issue most of my life; as a teen my mother took me to a bariatrics doctor. Once. He was NASTY and interestingly he needed to lose at least 50 pounds himself, which may be why he had such a poor attitude. You won't get that kind of treatment from Dr. Villares.) He's an honest man--a rare find in itself--and if you work with him I am sure that you will be glad you did and pleased with your results.

Best diet doctor and surgeon in the Phoenix area! I quickly lost 40 lbs on one of Dr. Villares'weight loss programs. As well he did an abdominal repair from a botched previous surgery. Great bedside manner, very kind and caring. He checked up on me frequently post surgery. Not your typical doctor. He makes you feel immediately at ease like talking to a friend. His staff is great, easy to make appointments and his prices are the lowest I've seen for bariatric procedures, diet programs, liposuction, fillers, Botox, etc. Not only is he a bariatric surgeon, he's also an accredited plastic surgeon. I am a very happy patient and highly recommend Dr. Villares.
