I have received hot shaves all over the US and the shave I received from Central Barber Shop (middle chair - tall barber) was one of the very best, maybe even the best ever! Thank you!!
I’ve been going to Roman and Oksana for years, and they consistently deliver top-notch haircuts and great conversation. They’re not just skilled professionals—they’re genuinely kind, welcoming people who make you feel right at home. As the owners, they bring a personal touch to every visit, and it really feels like you’re just hanging out with friends while getting your cut. I’ve seen them go above and beyond for all kinds of clients—from those with special needs to those with high expectations—and they always deliver. Highly recommended!
When I was stationed at the Fort Huachuca Basic Schoolhouse for Counterintelligence and Human Intelligence (HUMINT) courses as well as working on my master's degree in Intelligence Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus I was introduced to the barbershop by a close female friend from school (who unfortunately has since passed away from a heart attack, despite being physically fit during PT) who was a Bukharian Jew (who was initially my love interest) who would wear skin-tight bebe brand Y2K glittery logo t-shirts, a Star of David choker, and leather pants (when not in MARPAT desert pattern working uniform) told me about the barbershop in Phoenix. I met a blonde lady named Oksana (who's the owner's wife) who was my barber. She did an excellent job cutting my hair and giving me a traditional Turkish shave and razor fade. The prices were expensive (despite being single and childfree, due to a vasectomy), but I felt the quality was outstanding and felt Oksana did an excellent job of cutting my hair. I liked the smell and the ambiance of the barbershop and loved the scent of the shaving cream and the aftershave. The barber and owner and his wife are both Jewish and are originally from the Former Soviet Union and were escaping persecution and made the best of the American Dream. I have high-functioning autism and understand the importance of standing up for what is right (which inspired me to work in intelligence and law enforcement). A lot of Russian music in the background. A lot of elderly customers come to get their hair cut here. It's been around for over 70 years. One older gentleman who got his hair cut here was 100 years old and told me he knew the original owners. He said despite the prices he still comes here because they treat him well. He told me he sees either Oksana, Roman, or Ibragim.
