I was knocked unconscious in a car wreck in October 2023 while stopped at a red light. My car and the car that hit me were both totaled. Despite wearing my seatbelt, I woke up in the back of my hatchback, with only my feet tangled in the belt and my arm trapped between the back seats. I barely remember the impact.
I spent the next 12 hours in a crowded ER and got excellent news: it was only minor injuries and a concussion. I went home the next morning.
