One reviewer mentioned having had bad experiences with vets in the past, but was pleased to find a trustworthy and reliable office in Arizona Exotic Animal Hospital. The avian veterinarian, Taylor Lewis, is specifically highlighted as extremely knowledgeable and able to handle even the most anxious cockatoos with confidence and a calm demeanor. The staff was absolutely amazing, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. Everyone was very gentle and kind when it came to pets, and readily able to provide resources. The doctors' abilities are very confident. Vet technicians and receptionists are empathetic. There is no other place people would want to take their birds. Pets seem to like interacting with them, which is surprising since they were not always comfortable with vets before going here. They opt to try less invasive practices first and are responsive. The dedication to the job and how much they care about animals is truly amazing. Overall, Arizona Exotic Animal Hospital is a highly recommended location for exotic pet owners in Phoenix and the West Valley.
Dr. Willig was knowledgeable and did a thorough exam of my bunny and answered all questions. Very pleased with the care we received. Being so thorough with care and treatment was a huge plus with Remy especially when it comes to exotic animals like bunnies.
For the first time in the almost 5 years of my gecko's life, he got an oral infection. My gecko is my only reptile, and the only one I have ever had in my life, so naturally I was really freaked out. I definitely had my little moments of freaked-out pet-mom, but the staff remained professional and kind. Treatment began while I was out of the country and facing financial struggles, but the vet was generous enough to discuss options with me. Together, we were able to form a treatment plan that I (a broke college student) could afford. As a first-time reptile mom, I really appreciate that they took the time to educate me on reptile care, without judgment. Many thank yous… read full review
