She talked my sisters ear off giving her compliments almost like she was trying to waste time. Stating that she had a client after but she moved her to the morning and claimed she had so much time now. She went ahead and gave my sister her haircut while her hair was still dirty btw. Who does that? And after she was done with the haircut she stated she was done… My sister asked about washing her hair and blowdrying it which is the service she requested and Rita stated it was too late and would not have the time because she has a client after her. This was after telling my sister that she moved the client. She also stated that she was not aware of the texture my sisters hair was ( we are Dominican with very curly hair) and stated it was an issue because it was gonna take her too long. If you dont service certain types of hair textures and types, then you should clearly state that. She had only asked my sister over the phone what the length of her hair was. My sister was highly upset but kept her cool and confirmed that this service would not still be $85 because she did not do the wash and blow. Rita tells her it’s still $85… for just the haircut that she did on my sisters dirty hair. She now claimed that if she wanted the wash and blow and haircut it would’ve been an extra $90. My sister was livid and stated she was not happy and Rita stated that the lowest she could charge is $75 because she is required to by her boss. The experience was filled with unprofessionalism from start to end and she will never be returning again. Trash people.

This was our third visit with Rita at Royal Salon, and once again, she did an amazing job! My son got a perm and a fresh haircut, and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Rita is incredibly talented, patient, and really takes her time to make sure everything looks just right. She has a great way of making my son feel comfortable and confident during the process, which means a lot. We’ve found our go-to stylist, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for professional, high-quality hair services. Thank you, Rita, for your consistently excellent work!

Please do not ever come to this Salon. Rita burned my hair with her “organic perm” on November 2024, and my hair has not been the same since. Not only is it damaged and falling out, the curl pattern is inconsistent and horrible. I’ve showed other perm specialists and they are shocked at my results. Since the day I left Rita’s salon I’ve been absolutely depressed with my hair, and she was not even courteous enough to return my money. In the photos you can see she curled my roots and left the rest of my hair straight because she did not evenly distribute the hair perm solution. As well as I lost a lot of hair at the scalp from her irresponsible technique. Please don’t trust her paid reviews and stay far away from this irresponsible and inexperienced stylist.

First of all, I have screenshots showing I contacted you the very same night of my appointment, and repeatedly in the following days, weeks, and months. I cried on your own chat system about how devastated I was. To sit here and claim I only contacted you once about styling tips is not just false — it’s manipulative. I have receipts. And if necessary, I’ll post them publicly.
Second, your statement about me posting “positive feedback on social media” is laughable. I do not have social media. You invented a complete fiction to discredit me because you have no actual defense for the damage you caused. If you’re willing to lie about something so easily disprovable, it only confirms how little integrity you have.
Third, your claim that “organic perms have no chemicals” is a flat-out lie. Every licensed professional knows that all perms — organic or not — involve chemical processing. I even have screenshots from our own conversations acknowledging chemical effects. You’re either lying to your clients or dangerously uninformed about the services you’re offering.
Fourth, your attempt to blame my pre-existing hair texture is disgusting. Yes, I mentioned mild thinning at the crown — but after your perm, I experienced massive hair loss, damage to my scalp, and irreversible harm that I never had before. You failed to assess whether my hair could even tolerate a perm safely, and you proceeded anyway — recklessly and negligently.
Lastly, you accuse me of missing a follow-up — but you fail to mention that after your gaslighting, dishonesty, and refusal to take responsibility, I had no reason to trust you touching my hair again.
Your entire response reads like a desperate attempt to cover your tracks, but the facts — and my documented evidence — speak louder than your fabrications. If you handle your mistakes this dishonestly and try to gaslight your clients into silence, you should not be operating at all.
To anyone considering this salon: Think carefully. If anything goes wrong, this is the kind of response you can expect — lies, blame-shifting, and zero accountability.
