Everyone at AZ Endocrine Institute is amazing starting with making an appointment. The appointment coordinator is always so nice and gets back to you really fast when leaving a message. I see Jake Wilkie when I’m there and he is the nicest most compassionate man and explains labs results so I can understand. Not everyone understands medical terminology…a lot of doctors forget that but not Jake. This is the best Endocrinologist group I’ve ever worked with and will only continue to see.
I have been seeing Dr. Seema Ahluwalia at AZ Endocrine Institute since 2002. At that time, I had already had Type 1 Diabetes for 22 years with many struggles in maintaining my weight and a glucose level under 8.
She and her staff have been a godsend. With her guidance over the past 22 years, I have rarely had an A1C over 6.4.
My weight, seriously, has fluxuated by only 3-4 pounds from quarterly visit to quarterly visit. And my bloodwork consistently shows that my major organs are as healthy as a non-diabetic - a decade younger than I am.
