Absolutely fantastic hotel experience. I have never said that before and I traveled for work for 11 years. Cris was fantastic even though we arrived very very late, he greeted us and took care of our needs with a smile. Emily in housekeeping let us take a peek at the different types of rooms and I can honestly say they are all amazing. No two are exactly the same. The history of the hotel is incredible. The whole town is wonderful and our experience at the Grand Central made it even more wonderful. The location was perfect! The only thing that could have been better was her sister hotel up on Spring St but it was booked! I loved my room. You could see it looked like maybe some updates were going on or needed in the bath, but oh the antiques ?This place is an elegant step back in time and the staff were so very nice!
The grand hotel was convenient for me to walk to where I was going . The only problem I have with the hotel is the STAIRS lol no elevator . And when u have bad legs and messed up ankles stairs are not your friend. But it was my first time to Eureka . The staff was polite and courteous. It is on the main strip so if you don't like loud motorcycles driving by and big trucks and such probably would want to find a quieter venue. But like I said I needed something within walking distance of food, shops and the Auditorium.Walkability: I needed to stay somewhere close to the Auditorium and you really couldn't beat the walk ability factor to and from .
