Even if you don’t stay here, you have to go see this place! Just standing in the lobby gives you those feels of what it was like back in the day. Very cool grounds to walk, the hotel is free to browse. They have the grounds cats laying around to pet and love on. There is a very small gift shop with postcards, stickers and pens. Up on the 4th floor is a restaurant/bar with an overlook of the side grounds as well as the walls being filled with newspaper articles of the hotel from back in the day. A very near experience. Go see the ghost tour so you can see the morgue, the bellhops will not be tainted by money to let you in! ☺
Rooms were clean and quiet. The service at the front was good, but could use improvement in following through on room placement. We had asked for a room with a jacuzzi, but did not initially receive it. They were otherwise very hospitable and kind. The atmosphere here is one of excitement. Loved it!
We have stayed at the Crescent many times. We stayed in a huge room: you could have played catch in it. The room was so long and the ceilings so high. It had two (soft) queen beds, older linen, a TV,older antique-ish furniture, a standalone air conditioner that did its job, a ceiling fan, old-fashioned light switches, and a updated bathroom. We didn't hear anyone above us or next to us.
