About Maple Hill Cemetery
Maple Hill Cemetery is a large, historic cemetery renowned for its natural beauty and impeccably maintained grounds. Visitors can appreciate the diverse array of tombstones, ranging from ancient to modern, all set against a peaceful and serene atmosphere. The cemetery features dedicated sections for veterans, children, and crypts, including a unique grave with a tree growing around it. The cemetery is further enhanced by the presence of stunning maple trees, which provide a vibrant display of colors during the fall season. One notable feature is the grave of unknown Confederate soldiers, a poignant reminder of the cemetery's historical significance. Guests are encouraged to explore the cemetery on foot and attend the annual Maple Hill Cemetery Stroll, a popular historical event held on the third Sunday of October. The dedication and pride of the cemetery's caretakers is evident in the well-kept grounds, making it a pleasant destination for visitors to honor their loved ones.
My family is there. The love and actual pride that the people who work and care for Maple Hill take in their job truly shows. Please check online 4 times of events that they have including the cemetery stroll.
The grounds people are doing a great job of keeping it looking good for the families of the deceased to visit their loved ones. They have done a great job in the cleanup after the storm
A quiet place to visit my parent's gravestones. Also, the cemetery is clean and set up to walk around pay respect to the deceased. The grave yard for the Unknown Confederate soldiers who died for a lost cause is a place to visit. Another sight is the tombstone that a tree grew around.
