Our young female Kelpie mix did the board and train with Balanced K-9 Academy for 4 weeks. Her training has greatly decreased her reactivity and given her the ability to follow basic commands as well as being able to self-calm. The change in her behavior and willingness to obey us is amazing. And you could tell she loved Alec! We were thoroughly instructed on how to reinforce and continue her training at home. I highly recommend them! Alec is great.

I lost my shepherd in Dec of last year - I have a rescued American Staffordshire Terrier that had bonded with her and agreed to take in a 4 yr old German Shepherd that had been trained 3 years earlier but through no fault of the previous owner or the dog, the dog was left to his own devices in an apartment and various sitters would come take him out and play and take him to Dog Parks - but no real discipline...I realized this dog was way beyond my ability to bring him back to where he needs to be for me to handle him....literally in two weeks I have a new dog - I need to continue his training to keep him at his best of course - but I am an absolute believer in the NePoPo®... read full review

I've taken my pup to at least 3 other trainers. We didn't learn much from them. I started researching local dog trainers and came across Balanced K9 Academy. I contacted Nick and scheduled an evaluation of my pup. In meeting Nick and asking questions, he reall totally understands the way dogs think and process commands. And knows how to properly and effectively train them. So I trusted Nick with my 8 month old Cane Corso for his 4 week board and train.Before training, my pup lacked confidence and was very reactive. When I went to pick my pup up, he was a totally different dog. He was so confident in himself and had no reaction to the things that he reacted... read full review
