This is the 5th pair of boots I’ve had protective soles installed prior to my first wear. The 1st pair of boots were serviced in 2021 and still have great protection. The owner takes pride in his craft. Due to the backlog and lack of professional cobblers in the Birmingham area, don’t always expect a 24-48 hour turnaround. The owner is transparent when it comes to the time it takes for service. I highly recommend, and I wasn’t asked to post a review.

Best shoe cobbler in Birmingham! Louis is extremely knowledgeable and authentic and will only do work that will last and be worth your investment. He is an artisan and will transform your shoes - I’m so happy with the mirror soles he put on my Jimmy Choos. He also offers shoe stretching which was fast and effective.

Had a wonderful experience having my favorite pair of boots resoled and re-heeled at Upside Down! Store owner was very knowledgeable and gave me a great recommendation for how best to repair my boots. Price was reasonable and well worth the final results. I've never owned a pair of boots that I cared enough about to have repaired, but these are special and they came back better than new. Will absolutely be back and would recommend them to anyone. I’ve sent two pairs of Louboutins to Upsidedown Shoe Repair to have red mirror soles installed and both pairs came out gorgeous. Louis is a master at his craft and just wonderful to do business with overall. He is very kind and helpful and he keeps you updated throughout the process which ran very smoothly both times I’ve sent shoes in. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great cobbler that gives top notch service!

They were closed to new orders and business. 2 weeks behind. Call the store before you come. In response to the owners reply: I usually don’t respond to jabs, but since he, the owner want to make a statement about “this guy”, let’s have it. First of all, Mr. This Guy, I drove 93 miles to give you a bag full of shoes and boots as a first time customer. Second, there was no posting on Google about a pause in new orders, you could have saved me the gas and an hour and forty-three minutes. Third, I did not say anything negative about your business, I only posted your sign and suggested people call before they waste their time and gas driving over there because the only notice you posted is on your front door. Not a website or google where people would know. In truth, the one star was out of frustration of driving all the way there just to find out you are not accepting new customers at this time. But, I wonder where the “this guy,” come from? Look within.

Shoes look brand new after bringing them here to be re-soled. Other places are cheaper, but the repairs don’t last and use cheap materials. Worth the price 100%. Won’t take my shoes anywhere else
