The Alaska Club Juneau Valley provides a variety of activities suitable for the entire family. The gym has indoor basketball and tennis courts, along with child care play centers.
Members can take advantage of strength training equipment, weight rooms, functional fitness training areas, cardio and circuit machines, and a group cycle studio. Additional amenities include a spa offering tanning and massage services, along with red light therapy, cryotherapy, water massage chairs, a steam room, and sauna.
The gym is open 24 hours for gold members and higher, which is beneficial for members who need flexibility, like those undergoing rehabilitation. Group fitness classes are available and change weekly. Although the gym does not have a pool, it features a spacious workout area with plenty of cardio machines.
Staff are friendly and responsive, ensuring that equipment is regularly repaired and updated. However, some reviews mention a lack of various amenities expected for the membership price, such as body towels provided in bins rather than folded and broken soap dispensers in the showers. Despite these concerns, the equipment availability is considered sufficient even during busy times.
Mr. Joshua Hamilton is the go-to person at the gym!!! He was suchhh a sweetheart for allowing me to try some of the amenities out before i committed to the prime membership. The staff here is always so helpful, a couple of good-hearted individuals, and generally just brighten up your day. I have a ton of love for them!
It has been many years since I’ve visited this club and boy have the changes been amazing.
I was greeted at the front door by the friendly staff and shown how to sign in and made to feel right at home.
I was given a tour around the gym and then went and had a great workout.
I’m rehabbing a full knee replacement and I reached out about having a chair to do some stretches and I was immediately texted back to just ask at the front desk when I come back!
Over the top customer service, great equipment…a winning combination.
Brian always makes the gym feel welcoming and fun. Super friendly, positive, and great at making everyone feel comfortable. His energy honestly makes the place better every time I come in!
