The Alaska Club Juneau Downtown

I enjoy going to the downtown club several times a week, the staff are very friendly and try their best to keep up with a short staff, the building has several issues at the moment that puts a damper on things.

I have been a member of the Juneau Racquet Club - Alaska Club since 2001 when we moved to Juneau. Along with the assistance of a physical therapist, the gym was extremely helpful for my recovery from a car injury. Over the years, I have been quite faithful to attend and reap the benefits of the gym except when I was of town. When I first started the membership, I recall the yearly cost was about $700.You asked for some information about current experiences. I am grateful for the availability of the facilities in Juneau. The downtown Juneau Alaska Club has probably the best view of any gym in Alaska if not all North America — looking out over Gastineau Channel. Rarely crowded, squeaky clean, and an excellent range of cardio and weight equipment.
