Young Smiles Children's Dentistry

Fantastic dentist!! I have been bring my kids here since we moved back. He is exceptional and great with kids. Communication with parents is great. The front deck and the hygienist all have an amazing attitude.

I wish there was a service as well suited for kids as this when I was my daughter's age.

We've been going to young smiles for a while now, but after yesterday's (619/2026) behavior by the dentist (Dr. Young) and the lady helping (I dont know her name) I dont think I want to bring my child back there.
She had a sealant put on her teeth and some skin on her lip lasered off. She had to have a poke of numbing. She lost it. She already doesn't like needles, and she jumped when he poked her she wasn't ready for that. After that just cried and she did scream (I don't condone her behavior of screaming, but she's a child and got scared).

The things they said to my daughter, and the way they acted was extremely unprofessional and didn't help in an already stressful situation for her.

I could tell the dentist was over it as he rudely left and said nothing to me. Just told the lady to explain how to care for her lip afterwards with his snarky remarks to my child.

Then she proceeded to just go on and on how a 9 year old shouldn't have acted like that and thats the worst she's ever seen (dobut that) Cool, I get it you're frustrated. BUT instead of saying that maybe she should come back with sedation (laughing gas wasnt working) they decided to proceed with the procedure.

I've never in my life have met a rude dentist or receptionist (I think thats what she was, she checked us in and came back some). My daughter has never had anything but cleanings, so I wasnt sure how'd she be.

But I wanna go somewhere and give money to place that doesn't have disgusting behavior towards a 9 year old child, and probably ruining visit for her for now on. And constantly saying things to her face that we're just not nice.

I am ashamed I didn't speak up and just leave at the time. But I know my temper and I bit my tounge.

I also got charged before hand and was charged for an extraction of a baby tooth that didnt need removing. So assuming I do need a partial refund as the estimate I got showed I'd have to pay towards it. I'll be following up with insurance to make sure it wasn't put in the claim as it wasnt done.

I normally will let things go and not leave reviews, but nothing about this sat well with me. It could have been handled so differently. At this point I don't care for any explanation or appogly. I will not be recommending this place to anyone when asked, and will share my experience as to why I wouldn't.

I work at a vet clinic in town, and this behavior wouldn't be tolerated. Need to have better standards at your practice.

Dr. Young and the staff at Young Smiles have been an answer to prayer! They are so fabulous! Dr. Young has the best bedside manner. He is kind & knowledgeable. I know my child is in good hands at Young Smiles. We are so grateful that we were referred to them.

I have been bringing my kids to Dr Young since they were both 3 years old. Dr Young is very patient and passionate a out his job. He makes my kids feel so comfortable with teeth cleaning and any work that needs to be done. It has made my daughter interested in working dentistry!

Called first thing in the AM to get a kiddo with a hurt tooth in. They got us in immediately and taken care of with compassion and smiles!!! Thank you so much for being amazing.

My daughter saw Dr Young after a bad experience with previous dentist. The Dr made her feel comfortable. The entire visit, from check in to check out, showed that he and his entire staff cared about her overall well being. They kept me informed the whole time as to what they were doing and how she was doing. The only regret that I have is not having found Young Smiles, Dr Young, and the entire staff sooner. They are all so amazing!!
