This place has been so unbelievably helpful to me in the past year. Stacie is such an insightful, compassionate person to work with. She recommended that I see Stephanie for acupuncture to help integrate somatically some of the things I was able to cognitively understand with Stacie's help. I was struggling with, seemingly brand new, general anxiety, extreme driving anxiety (due in part, I think to astigmatism and driving at night) lack of energy, pmdd. Acupuncture with Stephanie has truly been a game changer. Stephanie is great at explaining TCM in laymen's terms, and helping me work with my whole body to get these things more balanced. I am SO much less anxious, see so many less eye floaters, have had the energy to implement healthy habits, to consistently do basic things like eat breakfast and exercise, and feel like I have a better way to think about my body as a whole and just naturally make better choices about what actually feels good for me. Will never be able to rant and rave about Fairbanks Family Wellness enough, even though I'm sure everyone who knows me is tired of hearing about it.
I was in the midst of managing a family emergency and feeling completely depleted. Thankfully, acupuncturist Stephanie Gottschalk had an appointment available. Being in the midst of a trauma, I wasn't clear on what I needed, but I knew I could not continue to function the way that I had been prior to our session. Stephanie was exceptional at meeting me in the middle on my intake and exploring ways to support me. She was a fantastic listener, able to hear both what I was saying, as well as listen for in-between the lines of how to best serve me. She is intuitive and skilled and I left the appointment feeling much more in my own body again, and with a care plan moving forward to continue to navigate the family emergency AND take care of myself in the process. If you're concerned at all about the needle portion of acupuncture, it's not necessary - you'll barely even be aware that they're there. The time on the table is a gift you really cannot appreciate until you've experienced it. I'll be sure to see her when I'm in town again next time. She's a 5-star provider, for certain.
