The Altrol team went above and beyond when no one else was willing to help. My water line from my well to the house ruptured and Altrol provided amazing services. Great communication and superb customer service.

Unless you have money to burn, stay far away from Altrol! I waited to post this review to see if I would feel different over time. Turns out, everytime I think about Altrol's service, it just makes me mad! My boiler would not start, and I needed help. I called Altrol and asked how much it would be to get it fixed. I was quoted $350 to send out a tech after hours and $350 per hour after the first hour. I specifically asked if that included an hour of labor, and I was told yes. The surly tech arrived promptly. I showed him the problem and was told to get out of the way. A couple minutes later, I could hear the boiler running, and I informed him that it sounded correct. He told me he had already fixed it. He replaced a pump coupler that gets changed during routine maintenance because it had failed. From the time he entered the front door until he was in his van with tires moving was right at 10 minutes. I had heat. Over a month later, I received the invoice for $554.20! I called to ask why it was so expensive indicating I was quoted $350 for the callout which included the first hour. I indicated he replaced a part that is included in routine maintenance, so there was no special work done. The person said the tech did not even charge a call out fee and just charged coupler change job fee, so he could have charged more! The person then told me that it was not expensive because it was an emergency callout that got my heat working. So, I found out that as long as they get your heat going, you are at their mercy and can charge what they want, and they do! Never again, and I will let everyone know!
Tltr: An emergency callout that took 10 minutes on property to replace a routine plastic part cost over $550!

Andrew and Jeff tuned my furnace and explained the current problems with it. They also gave me a quote for a new furnace the same day. In the event I get a new furnace, I would be more than glad to have them install it. Thank you
