The staff, including therapists and administrative team, are known for their kindness, patience, and deep knowledge. They work closely with families, ensuring clear communication and personalized support. Children enjoy their sessions, which are designed to be fun and engaging, often allowing movement and play to help learning. Parents appreciate how the therapists treat their children with respect and understanding, making each session a positive experience. Many have seen remarkable progress; for example, a child who initially spoke fewer than 20 unintelligible words at age two now talks so much that parents need to remind him to slow down. The clinic offers various programs, such as literacy classes and summer camps, where children learn alongside peers in a safe, calming environment. Families also value the extra resources, like informational series for parents, which help them support their child's development at home. Overall, It's More Than Speech truly lives up to its name, providing caring, effective, and comprehensive services that help children grow and communicate confidently.
We could not be more grateful for Andrea and her team! My son came to them almost two years ago. 5 years old with Down syndrome. His growth in speech & language is evident as well as his ability to participate with peers due to their amazing summer camps. I have also learned so much regarding ways to help him at home and ways to better advocate for him in the school setting. It’s More Than Speech has been a gift to our family. We are extremely thankful for our time there!
It's More Than Speech is an amazing clinic. Our son with multiple disabilities has attended the past two years for educational services, social skills groups, and summer camp. All the therapists are top-notch, family-centered, and an asset to the community. Andrea Toth has established a great facility servicing children, youth, and their families. Andrea's vision and compassion for her work are uncompromisable and clearly shines through at It's More Than Speech. Amanda Goodrich, who handles the educational services, is an amazing teacher. Words can not express the relationship that has grown with my son and family over the two years we have seen her. Her background of being a special education teacher allows her to interact, redirect, and truly understand the kiddos she serves. She has gone out of her way for us time and time again. Most importantly, Amanda repeatedly listens to us over the concerns we have with our son and is willing to come up with a plan b, c or d if necessary. Amanda is a genuine person and the epitome of an amazing teacher!
We’ve been working with Andrea for a few years now and she has been a life saver! My daughter has learned so many life skills and different ways to cope. The social groups have been a great way for her to “practice” all these skills.
