I’ve been coming to this barbershop since the 90s, and every time I walk in it feels like stepping back into a place full of great memories. The atmosphere is nostalgic, the people are welcoming, and the quality of the cuts has always been top-notch. Just got another great haircut today, and it reminded me why I’ve stuck with them all these years. Consistent, professional, and a true Anchorage staple in the Midtown Mall. Highly recommend!

Excellent barber shop, small and simple with a friendly staff. Everyone here is very talented and really knows what they are doing. One of the few places in Anchorage I will trust with my beard!

I only get my hair cut maybe twice a year and then only out of necessity because the gel won't hold it in place anymore. I have been going to A Cut Above for years. They are convenient for me and it's always fast. I got my hair cut there today by a woman named Laura. She asked what I was looking for and I told her to cut it super short and make me look good. She did it exactly perfectly and she did it in less than ten minutes. She's was professional, friendly and a good conversationalist. Thanks Laura, I'll be back once the gel won't hold my hair together anymore. Great, fast service with a chill atmosphere.
