About PetSmart
PetSmart is a large retailer specializing in pet supplies and services, offering a wide variety of products for dogs, cats, birds, fish, amphibians, reptiles, and small animals like guinea pigs and hamsters. Customers have the option to shop online and pick up their orders at the store within two hours. PetSmart also provides services such as dog training, grooming, boarding, and adoption. The store is known for its knowledgeable employees who are helpful and friendly, especially to nervous animals. Many customers appreciate the staff's expertise, as one employee even refused to sell fish that required a larger tank than what the customer had, ensuring that the animals go to great homes. However, some customers find the prices to be high, feeling that the store takes advantage of pet owners' love for their animals. For example, dog toys and clothing can be significantly more expensive than at other stores. Despite the pricing concerns, many appreciate the selection of cute toys, advent calendars, and the online app for earning points. Additionally, customers often highlight the friendly staff, noting that the hiring process seems to attract nice people. PetSmart St. Albert even hosted a lovely Santa for Pet Santa Photos, who was great with pets, making the experience enjoyable for both pets and their owners.

However, one of the employees I spoke to was very well knowledgeable when I spoke to her. She actually refused to sell any fish that required a tank larger than 5 gals. I’m sure some people would be upset about this, but to me that really shows that the animals in the store will go to great...read full review
The employees are very knowledgeable and helped me size a harness for my puppy! They also gave her some treats and pets to help her feel comfortable and stay calm in the store since she was nervous! I always get toys and bully sticks from here. She loves them!
I understand that they're a business but trying to get rich one item at a time. They are very pricey, and in my opinion, they are taking advantage of the love people have for their pets. Like dog toys that dollar stores sell for a dollar + are sold here for $10-$13.
Dog t-shirts and vests $12-$65 like really... who's preying on who?
