We had our first training session with Joel, my dog and I were so nervous but I'm super satisfied and excited about the results we saw during this first session. I appreciate how well Joel understood my goals and concerns, as well as his in-depth understanding of dog behaviour, genetics, and confidence building. The homework and sheets he gave us to take home are well-written and clear and will be so helpful going forward. We are super excited to polish up our training and fill in the blanks with his help!
Working with Chicken’s trainer Leanne has been such a positive, confidence-building experience — not just for my dog, but for me as well. She is exceptionally knowledgeable, calm, observant, and incredibly intuitive with dogs. She reads body language beautifully and adjusts sessions based on the dog’s emotional and mental capacity in the moment, which has made a huge difference for us.

We have been through many training sessions with Leanne with 3 different dogs. Every session I learn something new about dogs, their behavior, and body language. Leanne and staff are very qualified, and methods are based on a lot of experience and education. Problems with dogs is not the dog, it is how we deal with the dog. At Canadian Canine you will learn how to manage even the most difficult dog.
The in and out times are very strict to ensure your dog can come to the session without any distractions or confrontations with other dogs. This is be sure your dog is ready to get the most from the training session.
