Blue Grass Nursery, Sod & Garden Centre - Rockyview County

Blue Grass Nursery, Sod & Garden Centre is a family-owned business with a long history in Alberta, starting as a sod grower and expanding into a full-service landscape supply centre. They offer a range of services including Garden Centres, Greenhouses, Nurseries, and Sod Fields. The nursery features a beautiful country-style market store with a Christmas display that begins to look spectacular each year, creating anticipation for the unveiling in November. Customers appreciate the full nursery stock, including plants, pots for planting, statues, and landscaping supplies, making it a great place for landscaping needs. The staff are described as friendly, helpful, passionate, and knowledgeable, often providing excellent service. Visitors have praised the nursery for its welcoming atmosphere and the variety of offerings.

The nursery is also known for its Pumpkin Festival, which is well-organized and enjoyable, with volunteers, clean porta potties, and frequent shuttle service. Customers found the festival to be a good value for the entry fee and had a great time exploring the festivities.

While the nursery has received many positive comments, some customers have expressed dissatisfaction with the tree planting service, noting that trees purchased and planted by staff have sometimes died due to burlap and cages not being removed from the base of the tree ball. Additionally, during the holiday season, staff have been praised for their quick help, such as providing last-minute Christmas trees that saved Christmas celebrations.
