Cochrane & Area Humane Society is a place that cares for furry friends. The staff is helpful and provides lots of information about the animals. People can interact with puppies and cats at the shelter. The adoption process is thorough but quick, making it easy for families to find their new companions. Many who have adopted pets from the shelter express happiness with their experience and gratitude for the work the humane society does.
The shelter has a dedicated team, including staff members who are noted for their exceptional service, even on busy days. They ensure that potential adopters understand the history and care of the animals. Many dogs are in foster care, so coordination is needed for meetings, but the staff helps make sure that families find the right fit. The care shown to the animals, including basic obedience training, is recognized as top tier. Adopters often share their joy in bringing home pets, like Zia and Jake (Chase), who have become wonderful additions to their families.
Had a great experience adopting a dog, saw an ad on their Facebook page, went in and met a potential puppy to add to my pack, my dog met him and it went great - Achilles is now part of my pack. The staff were very helpful and the adoption process was easy.

Adopted two barn buddies this summer, the process was simple and so rewarding to be able to home two feral cats and give them a place and purpose. The work CAHS does helps so many animals and people. The atmosphere is pleasant, the adoption process is easy and the prices are affordable for all that they do for the animals before adoption.
