I used to go here but haven't lately. I drove past the other day and no cars there but saw an open sign. I went in to see why the reason it is not busy. The housewares and toys are more expensive than any other thrift store. I never even bothered to look at clothes. I used to donate and shop here because I believe in your mission. Before it was hard to get a parking stall to shop but not now
October 2024
I will not donate to this store any more. The re-sale prices for the items that have been donated to them are outrageous. There are plenty of other organizations that make it affordable for low income Calgarians to purchase donated items.
April 2024
I think we got racially profiled today. My family and I were browsing to pass time and the security guard was following us around the store. He lingered in our area(s) and pretending to shop/look around. Followed my family to till by waiting in line, asking them if they’re in line to pay. Proceeded to wait behind them in line with his items only to put them back and wait at the front door again once they’re done. I understand employees have to follow orders from management but that behaviour is uncalled for. I don’t know what we did exhibit any “suspicious” behaviours that would grant security to follow us.
