The South Calgary Health Centre (SCHC) is a recommended healthcare facility known for its cleanliness and well-maintained condition. The staff, including doctors, nurses, and Public Health personnel, are friendly and helpful, providing patient-centered and thorough care. SCHC offers services such as immunizations and a breastfeeding clinic, with free parking available. However, patients may experience wait times for appointments.
The facility has received mixed reviews. While some patients have praised the nurses for their politeness and thoroughness, and a doctor named Dr. Higgin for his genuine interest, listening skills, and prompt service, others have reported negative experiences with certain doctors. Some patients have felt that the doctors can be condescending and dismissive, especially when patients are feeling vulnerable and stressed.
Despite these challenges, the SCHC staff are generally described as calm, professional, and dedicated, even when dealing with a high volume of patients. The facility is recommended for its healthcare services, but patients should be aware that wait times and the attitudes of some doctors may vary.
Went here because of a fall off a ladder hitting a parked car & then garage floor with my head. This place is simply amazing, over the top care by all staff, I wish I could name them all because they need a metal for the way they care for their patients and what they put up with by others I overheard.
Dr. Thomas Sefcik, (spelling) was also so caring, and the communication to my wife and I was amazing, thank you.
To all staff on Nov. 17th late afternoon, THANK YOU!
Nice enough facility. No signs to show where bathrooms are.
There are signs on the bathrooms themselves but nothing in the waiting room pointing you to them.
Considering how long they’ve been open and how many times the information station had probably
been asked, you would have thought someone would have thought of it.
The best emergency services I ever had. I have been to different Emergency Services. Here is the best. Nurses and doctors at this location are taking a good care of you. They really accountable to the patients. Thanks for them.
