I had heard of Thai massage thanks to TikTok but had never tried it until today. Regular massages do not work for me and I wanted to try a new option.
Suthin was my masseuse and she made me feel very comfortable, worked through every area of my body with care and was a pleasure talking to. I would recommend her to anyone who visits this place for the first time. This will be my go-to spot going forward.

I am a regular to this wonderful place. Following closely to traditional Thai practices, there is traditional and oil. You can have a shared room with a partner or friend, or you can have a room to yourself. The atmosphere is respectful and soothing. I suffer from frozen shoulder and Suthin (Susan) Seeger has given more relief and mobility than the cortisone shots prescribed by the doctor. She intuitively listens to my body. She also gives me ideas about n how to proactively handle my aches and pains. All the staff is cheerful, and my daughters are regulars as well. Maeghan, Bam, and Pen are great too! I am not familiar with the others.
If you want a great deal on essential oils for your diffuser, they are very reasonably priced.
We travel from our family farm all the way here for the experience and expertise. Located in the downtown core of Calgary, it brings traditional Thai feelings to the metropolis.

Ban Thai Massage is exceptional. They give you a tailored experience simply by working through your stiffness and increasing your flexibility through guided movement and relaxation of tight areas. I highly recommend asking for Pen!

Very Disappointing Experience
I had a Thai massage this morning at Baan Thai Massage, and unfortunately, it was the worst massage I’ve ever had. The therapist stepped onto the massage bed with her slippers on, which I found extremely unhygienic and unprofessional. Even worse, she proceeded to step on my back during the massage without removing her slippers. This was not only uncomfortable but also very unsanitary.
I came expecting a relaxing and traditional Thai massage, but instead left feeling disgusted and disappointed. Cleanliness and professionalism should be the bare minimum in any wellness setting, and sadly, this experience fell far below that standard. I do not recommend this place and will not be returning.

This was by far the worst Thai massage experience I’ve ever had. The therapist in the photo stepped onto my massage bed wearing slippers and even used them to press on my back. The bed was extremely dirty, and after we raised our concerns, she hurried to clean everything—clearly trying to prevent us from taking photos. She never offered an apology and even attempted to force me to leave. Overall, it was a highly disappointing and unprofessional experience.
