Overall great service when bringing my car in for maintenance! Everything was done on time and the service advisor Brandon kept me in the loop during the process and helped explain the details to me. I’m pleased with the experience!

I’m sharing this review as a caution to anyone considering doing business with Country Hills Nissan in Calgary.

We had a very disappointing experience due to serious miscommunication between the sales staff and management. We were actively working with a salesperson and were in ongoing communication by text regarding a specific vehicle. The senior sales manager, Dave, was aware of our situation and knew that we simply needed a few hours to make a final decision.

Despite this, when we returned to the dealership to proceed with the purchase, we were informed that the vehicle had been sold while we were physically there, just minutes earlier. There was no warning, no courtesy message, and no attempt to confirm our intentions—despite the fact that we had communicated that we were on our way to buy the vehicle.

What made the situation worse was how it was brushed off, as though this was normal and unavoidable because “vehicles come and go.” That explanation is unacceptable when customers are actively engaged, communicating clearly, and acting in good faith.

This experience felt unprofessional and showed a lack of respect for the customer. The takeaway for anyone visiting this dealership is this: if your intentions are not immediately locked in, the vehicle may be sold out from under you—even if management knows you are coming back to purchase it.

I understand dealerships are businesses and that the bottom line matters, but customer communication and basic courtesy should matter too. Based on our experience, I would be very wary and recommend that buyers get everything confirmed explicitly and in writing before assuming a deal is being respected.

I was recommended by a friend to visit this location to trade in / sell my current vehicle. The sales team is friendly and the process to negotiate and discuss condition of the vehicle was respectfully done . Especially Wayne Fan who is due dilligent and worked with us in a professional way to make the process efficient and enjoyable, thanks again for everything. I would recommend them to anyone for new and used cars

😖Terrible tire alignment led to my wheel falling off as the tire bolts broke off WHILE I was driving! To be clear, the vehicle was not shaking until after their alignment. They tried it again, and it continued shaking. They tried a third time, but it kept shaking. The bolts did not come off; they broke off. Broke. At once. The service manager refused to pay me anything, even though my SUV, a Pathfinder, was on Deerfoot approaching Airdrie.

Had I not got off the 110km/ hour highway, my car likely would’ve flipped because it was the front tire that fell off, possibly harming myself + likely crashing into the many vehicles on the busy & wet road. I had gone back to them, complaining of vibrations that were SO much worse than before the alignment! They said it was all good, making some tweaks.

The problem continued; I went back again, and even a 3rd time! #CountryHillsNissan, avoid.

Previous to this, I also had problems after they changed the oil with some other weird sounds. Was that my warning?

With today’s modern systems, dealerships cost more and need to make sure that cars are maintained safely at the very least.

I could’ve died. Strangely, the other Nissan dealerships in the city. Don’t have great ratings either so this might be a Nissan problem. Time to go to Toyota?

The surface manager would not repair the damaged the fender, nor offered anything beyond sympathy, and suggested it wasn’t their responsibility.

He said there were too many kilometres between the alignment and the tire falling off - even though I had kept coming back and the surface advisor who dealt it was the same person every time so he knew exactly about the third time which they chose not to document.

But apparently the other two times they did document were irrelevant? Did they not document the third time on purpose?

I would sue and publicize then if I hadn’t had a person emergent to take care of - but I hope other people do so #Nissan improves things for everyone’s benefit in Calgary if they make the mistake of getting a Nissan.

Sidenote: I noticed they gave a response to this with will call it inaccuracies. Nice try. I have your emails. Do you want me to publish them, Nissan?

had a great experience working with Brandon at this Nissan dealership. He was knowledgeable, patient, and made sure everything was handled efficiently from start to finish. Brandon kept me informed the whole time and explained things in a way that was easy to understand, which I really appreciated

WARNING: Dishonest and Manipulative—Extreme Red Flags!

We went into this dealership on January 17 to test drive a Nissan Rogue. From the start, the experience was great. The receptionist, Nitesh, and Alpesh were polite, professional, and welcoming. Nitesh explained the vehicle, leasing, and financing options thoroughly. We spent close to three hours at the dealership reviewing details and paperwork. The first half of the experience was smooth, transparent, and reassuring—no complaints at all.

This was my first experience with Nissan, and I had heard excellent reviews about the Rogue. Based on what we were told, we felt confident moving forward. We paid $2,000, co-signed the papers, and left with the understanding that the deal was almost finalized and moving forward.

That confidence was completely misplaced. Without verifying our income, the dealership ran credit checks on both me and my brother on January 19. After taking our money and signatures, the dealership went completely silent for 8 days. My email to Abdul went unanswered, and on the afternoon of January 28, I had to call the dealership four separate times just to get a response. Wouldn’t you think a dealership would call their clients if the lease was rejected? Instead, it felt like they were withholding our money while sitting on their answer.

When we finally did get a response, we were told that Nissan Finance had “rejected” our lease. The explanations given were beyond ridiculous. I had to remind the guy (Abdul) from the finance team that I am not new to Canada, so don’t try to use a bait strategy of instilling fear or confusion to push us into financing. Immediately after, they tried to pressure us into financing instead, claiming our credit was “poor”—which is false. If our credit were truly poor, why would Nissan Finance approve/offer a car on finance? We have a good credit score and a stable household income. But Maybe Abdul thought... Let me take advantage of these immigrant faces.

To make matters worse, they did not provide any real explanation, and their careless credit checks caused both of us to lose 10 points each. This is manipulation, misleading, and completely unprofessional.

I am not upset that the lease was rejected. I am furious about the dishonesty, wasted time, and blatant attempt to pressure us into financing under false pretenses. The entire process felt like a scheme to take advantage of trusting customers, and it was extremely stressful, confusing, and disturbing. This has been my worst experience in Canada with buying a car.

    How does a dealership:

Run credit checks without proper documentation or verifying income

Go completely silent for 8 days despite repeated follow-ups

Fail to call clients about lease rejection, withholding answers.

Provide ridiculous explanations and use fear tactics to push financing

Claim credit issues that don’t exist and harm credit scores

And conveniently try to push the deal from leasing to financing to suit their agenda?

Buying a car should be transparent, professional, and trustworthy. Instead, this experience was stressful, manipulative, and deeply disappointing. While Nitesh did his job well, the lack of honesty, accountability, and integrity from others completely overshadows that.

They misled, manipulated, pressured, and wasted my time. Extreme caution is advised.
