I struggled with my health for 8 months before I heard of Function Medicine and found Dr. Travis. Dr. Travis was my last resort, when he should’ve been my first. He took a very extensive health history and our first appointment he promised me he’d do everything he could to get me healthy again. He made me feel genuinely cared and concerned for and took time to listen to everything I had been struggling with. He laid out a game plan and gave reasoning to his approach in a way I could understand. From my poor past experiences, I had a hard time trusting doctors and doubted and worried that he wouldn’t be able to help me either. He worked to prove me wrong by being confident, reassuring, and encouraging from the start and when I needed to hear it even more so through tests and treatments. He recommended a few tests that for the first time, gave me answers and lead me on a successful treatment path. Went there with neck pain for nearly 4 months. Was told I have arthritis and would have to live with it by my family doctor and wanted a second opinion. Here I was evaluated and offered an alternative that included a possible cure. Currently in treatment for another 5 weeks but showing improvement already. So grateful for having this opportunity.
