I've been a local resident of Shepherdstown for 2 years now, but didn't know that the Shepherdstown gym was available for the public. They offer day passes for $15 adult / $8 child, or you can do a monthly pass. It provides 2 courts--one typical basketball and the other pickle all. There's 3 racquetball rooms, their indoor pool and upstairs has their walking/running track as well as their fitness facility. My kids and I enjoyed our day there. Great local place.

This is one of the best collegiate fitness facilities for a relatively small University I have ever seen. Although day passes for non students are not inexpensive the monthly and annual fees for nearby residents are a bargain. The pool is magnificent with 8 wide lap lanes. There are two gyms, a running track and other fitness equipment. Impeccably clean facility.
