Bella and I attended beginning puppy school and one intermediate puppy class at Dogtags. Bella learned to sit, lie down, and heel among other skills. Maybe the most important skill Bella learned was to come when called. One night Bella got out the door alone in the dark. I was terrified we would lose her. My husband gave chase but Idecided tosee if she would come. I stood in the driveway and called Bella, come! After three calls Bella came racing out of the dark to me! This class was just great. The techniques we learn in class make it SO much easier to train not just the commands taught in class but anything you want to teach your pup with positive enforcement always. Elton learned how to sit, lie down, stay, heel, touch, off.. and so many other commands. The class is also great for meeting and socializing with other dogs, and dealing with the distractions that will always be present in a dogs life. Not only did we learn a lot about how dogs learn, but how best to care for them, socialize them, enrich their daily lives, and most importantly to develop a great bond with them. We had a great time taking our rescue dog to Carol and Laura on Thursday nights! They were super responsive, had insightful tips and tricks and helped us progress a long way in 6 weeks. I would recommend their beginner class to anyone looking. We will be signing up for the intermediate class this winter!
