Today was my first experience with this vet. I took my bloodhound in for his yearly exam.I was so impressed with Dr. Smith and her staff. Such sweet people and they really love the animals. The doctor sat on the floor with Owen and just took her time and went over him with a fine tooth comb. He cuddled right up to her like he had known her all his life.The big thing for me is that we were not treated like just a number.I own a pet grooming shop outside of Hagerstown and I’ve always been hesitant to refer a vet to my clients , until Now!I would trust Dr. Smith and her staff with anyone’s pet. Love this vet! Very friendly! Take one pet regularly, will be taking other pet soon. Very sweet to my pets, very caring. Need people like this, because my pets are scared of doctors.

When my vet recommended amputating my cat's broken leg, I turned to Dr. Smith for a second opinion. She recommended that we try several weeks of cage rest before taking this drastic step. She coached, encouraged and guided us every step of the way. My cat regained good use of her leg, and we became regular patients. Dr. Smith is wonderful about explaining the care our pets need. She even offers the opportunity to watch the office cats have their teeth cleaned, since most people don't know what's involved. The staff are all very helpful and friendly.
