We came to Chad with a super unique, custom build idea and he brought it to life in the most wonderful way. We built a multigenerational home, but in a more nontraditional way with both primary living spaces (main and in-law) being on the first level, in a duplex-style design. He listened carefully to our ideas, directed us where we needed or wanted additional direction, but allowed us freedom/flexibility to make choices anywhere choices could be made, and there are a LOT of choices to be made with a custom build. We had never planned to build a home ever in our lifetime, so Chad's high level of organization and the one-on-one attention he gives to his clients made this process truly so much easier than we ever anticipated. The contractors/vendors he uses are all incredible and clearly have been vetted through the years because they all do amazing work. Communication is a major strength of Chad's, as well, and any time we had a question, we knew we could get a response within the day, even if we said "no hurry" :) From the stories we have heard from friends/family who have built with other companies, we had by far the best building experience possible by going with Coogan Builders.
If you are looking for a custom home builder in the Madison area you found him! Chad went above and beyond any and all expectations we had for a builder. The aspects that set him apart from other builders are he is an incredible communicator and top notch problem salver. Building a home can be stressful and things don’t always go as planned so you really need someone on your team like Chad. Any and all vendor, land, planning and prepping questions or concerns we had he handled expertly. The other aspect we loved was Chad took a custom home experience to the next level. I am huge on details and nothing went I missed with him as our builder. Truly I wanted everything customized down to vintage handles in our master bath and he made it all happen. We recommend him to anyone wanting to build and are so happy we trusted him with our forever home!!
Chad just completed our home build in August of 2024. Relocating from across the state greatly limited our ability to make this project happen in a typical manner, but Chad took all of that in stride. Initial phone call took place in mid April, Chad broke ground by the 1st of May, and had us moved into our new home by mid-august beating our already ridiculous request to be in before school started in September. We will forever be grateful for Chad and his talented team for making an extremely stressful situation for our family, extremely NON stressful. Thank you again!
