What an incredible experience! We had the perfect midwife trio support my wife's natural birth, and I can't say I had ever witnessed such expertise and synergy in my life before. Katy Skarlatos (the owner), Katie Storck, and Emily Jalabert had such impressive cohesion, collective harmony, communication, and expertise. It was truly awesome to witness their teamwork. I really struggle to express my awe for these women, how gentle, warm, professional, competent and capable they are, but I hope my review can help others when it comes to choosing where to give birth.

I chose to change care from an OB to Authentic about halfway through my pregnancy, and am so happy I did! As a third time mom I was no stranger to the hospital side of prenatal care and birth, but I wanted a more natural approach for my last baby and found Authentic through an in-home provider's recommendation. At every visit I was given more than ample time to discuss concerns/ask questions, talk about birth preferences, and my other 2 children were welcomed with open arms at each appointment. I can't even begin to say how wonderful my experience with Authentic was. It was much more positive than my hospital based midwifery birth with my first child.
The midwives at Authentic clearly care about the women and children they care for. They have a strong emphasis on informed consent and having conversations about important care decisions. I felt safe and truly heard throughout the process. My feelings and values were honored and my past experiences were listened to as they played into decisions I made.
