“I sincerely appreciate the Wausau Free Clinic and the care they provided during a difficult time in my life.<br><br>If you're planning to visit, I recommend calling or emailing ahead to explain your symptoms or the type of assistance you need. If you're looking for the clinic, it's located inside the Community Partners Campus building. Once you enter, follow the hallway to the left until you see the Wausau Free Clinic sign with the red cross.<br><br>The staff are welcoming, attentive, and genuinely take the time to listen to your symptoms and concerns. They made me feel heard and provided prompt, compassionate care.<br><br>The clinic serves low-income, uninsured residents in the area, so be prepared to provide proof of eligibility. This may include paycheck stubs from the past three months, a FoodShare/Food Stamp eligibility letter, WIC certification, a recent tax return, or an IRS W-2.<br><br>This clinic made a real difference for me after I lost my job and had to accept a much lower-paying position. Having access to affordable medical care during that transition greatly reduced my stress and gave me one less thing to worry about. I'm truly grateful for the support they provided and would highly recommend the Wausau Free Clinic to anyone who qualifies for their services.”
