About The Meadows of Six Mile Creek
The Meadows of Six Mile Creek is a beautiful and challenging golf course that offers a fair and well-maintained playing experience. The course staff is known for their caring and kind hospitality, providing an excellent golfing experience. The course features a mix of long and short holes, with hazards such as water and prairie areas that require golfers to prepare accordingly. Despite recent heavy rain, the greens, fairways, and tee boxes are in excellent condition. While the cart paths could use some improvement, the course provides a variety of amenities, including portable toilets and water stations. The pace of play can be slower on busy days, but the friendly and lighthearted pro shop staff makes up for it, creating an overall enjoyable golfing experience that visitors recommend.
Pretty good course with lots of water around. Good quality course. Greens played well. It felt city course-ish for how open a lot of it was but there was a lot of water around a good number of the holes.
Overall good conditions.
We enjoyed our first experience at this course. We played in mid-May the day after a strong (1.5”) rain. Bunkers weren’t playable due to the rain the previous night, but no other signs of excessive water.
I can’t even imagine how hard it would be to play here for the first time once all the native vegetation grows tall by mid summer. So many blind shots over marshlands to 90 degree doglegs. Definitely bring your GPS! Greens were on the slow side, but smooth and in good shape. Fairways were excellent. Tee boxes were pretty good, even the oar 3’s. Rough was strange…..literally NO penal aspect to the rough here. It’s really kind of matted down...read full review
