Since we’re in the midst of tax season, I’d love to warn anyone before they make the mistake of going where I did. Tina Wegner from Sanft Accounting was my CPA for my first 2 years after starting my business. I was told she specialized in taxes for hairstylists as she “supposedly” knew the ins and outs of what hairstylists can and can’t write off & her main focus was working with hairstylists. When I say 2024 was my worst nightmare of working with her, I don’t say that lightly. I’ve done everything to a T that I was told to do by her. I paid in what I owed (according to Tinas records) for my 2023 taxes & I’d done everything on time. Halfway thru 2024 I started getting random notices in the mail of things left unpaid…. Why? I have no clue because again, I’ve paid everything I’ve been told I owed and I’ve done it all within a timely matter. I reached out to her asking what these random bills were and I’d get a roundabout answer and an excuse about how she’d get back to me come tax season because she wasn’t in office until then. Fast forward to this year, I decided that it was time to finally do my own taxes as I am so overly OCD. How couldn’t I be organized enough to do my own taxes for self employed? Everything was a complete breeze until today… in checking the IRS website to check on the status of my tax filing, the IRS informed me of thousands & yes you read that right THOUSANDS of dollars I apparently owe yet from 2023 that have been sitting in collections for a little under a year now. This is all due to my CPA completely fudging up my 2023 taxes. Add all of the interest that has piled on in the past year due to her “waiting until she was by her desk” and this has compounded into the worst mess ever. Whatever you do, DO NOT go to Tina Wegner from Sanft Accounting in Watertown. I feel she’s been completely lazy & has now caused all of this trouble on my end that I now need to clean up.

Just found out they were paid to file taxes they never filed. Say a form was not signed. Neglected to inform me except in a letter in July. Emailed form back which they claim still wasn't signed but didn't inform me. Just didn't file.

Dan and his staff have been doing my taxes for a multiple of business entities I have. I've been in the trucking business for 25 years and when we out grew our 1st accountant i hired Dan. Excellent. He knows what he's doing and has done a amazing job for us. I have recommended him to many people I know and they are all happy with him. Excellent service and a great company to work with.

Took me 8 months to have my taxes finalized. I would call 1 or 2 times a week and would hardly ever have someone call me back that was working on my taxes. A terrible experience, lack of communication and would charge you for things they didn't inform you about.

This company took over a small town tax service and decided to DOUBLE prices. Absolutely ridiculous. If you ever went through Reinke Financial expect to pay 100% more than you have in previous years.

We have had the team at Sanft accounting completing our income taxes for several years now. Dan was kind enough to help us out when we were audited by the IRS, due to the errors of another firm. He made everything straightened out and ended up getting us a refund. Having to pay to have your taxes done by a team like the ones at Sanft is well worth the money. They stand behind their work and are a true treasure to work with. Thank you for all you do.
