In the mist of my busiest time of the year.

I get this electronic voice coming across my computer saying I had to call Microsoft because my computer was affected.

I called and it was an accent I could barely understand with lots of back ground noise.

He told me to hit the window button and press the letter R so he could come into my computer and fix what was wrong.

I told him I was not going to let him in my computer and this phone call was fishy. He says in his accent nothing is fishy about this phone call. I told him I was going to call my computer guy. before I allow him in my computer.

I called Scott from Hometown Computers and my gut instinct was right. It was a scam.

Hats off to Scott and his business for being prompt when I had a question.

It pays to have a connection with local businesses to help each other.
