On September 21, 2023 I sustained spontaneous tibial plateau fractures and temporarily lost my eyesight. My eyesight would come and go. I had blood clots from my thigh to my ankle. My orthopedic surgeon ordered a lever locking leg brace and a wheelchair. Miss Dawn at Thedacare at Home in Shawano said that insurance wouldn't approve the leg brace or wheelchair. She lied! Insurance would have approved it. When insurance called her and told her to give me the wheelchair, Miss Dawn, wouldn't. I went in for an apt and Donna, who is from the Appleton office, comes down to shawano office twice a month. Was rude, talking down to me, condescending and scarcastic. Angry tone of voice. She was telling me I couldn't get anything during the apt, but ended up giving me the stuff anyways. It seemed as though she was deliberately trying to tick me off and was attacking me verbally. My wife called for the first time to order supplies and Donna answered the phone, even stating her name. She was very rude and angry tone of voice. If you take your child to their annual physical make sure you don't discuss anything other than your child's weight, height, and vaccine status. If any issues are observed or discussed during the appointment they will bill for two separate appointments. They get away with this by saying "there's a poster on the wall". The doctor was great, which is a shame because this is organization prioritizes profits over people.
