I’ve waited 6 months now to add a review of our GWP pup from May of 23; Aldo is an amazing animal! We own 3 wirehairs and I’ve owned, hunted, trained and bred bird dogs for 40 yrs, Aldo is as good of a product as I’ve ever seen and has become a best friend! We have shot many birds over him this fall here in northern Wisconsin and couldn’t have asked more from him or from Captains Kennels and Don…can’t wait to see how bright his future will be!

The best breeder and trainer around! We have had three of his dogs so far with a fourth on order! They come home very well rounded and acclimated to all different sounds and textures. What Don and Kelly do while raising pups makes a huge difference! I wouldn't look any where else for a dog or training. We got our last pup in March of 2021, he trained that summer with Don and at 9 months old hunted like a champ all bird season. These dogs are ready to hunt but also make a great family dog, they do very well with our children.
