Gundersen Lutheran Onalaska Clinic provides respectful service, with some areas for improvement. The lab staff is praised for their professionalism and "bedside manner" in making patients feel comfortable and safe. However, scheduling an appointment can be stressful, and urgent care may experience delays due to short staffing. On the other hand, the eye clinic staff is exceptional, taking time to explain procedures and prioritize patient comfort.
Came in with our 4 week old to have a tongue-tie addressed. The procedure went very well and the improvement was immediate. Very friendly professional staff and they were sure to do/say whatever they needed to to calm our nerves and explain in great detail what they were doing, why they were doing it, and made sure that we understood and agreed before proceeding.
Onalaska campus has a bunch of practitioners/specialists that patients can schedule on certain days.
Overall Gundersen really needs to reconfigure their phone transfer protocol.
Inveritably, one has to give people info that they don't need or want to hear before you reach your connection.🙄
Plus if I am calling the Ona campus number, it should be understood that I don't want the downtown location.
Just wanted to say that we had a wonderful experience in Urgent Care today. My husband's knee is not doing well, so we had it looked at for the second time in 2 weeks. The last time we were there, everything went well. But today, our two nurses and Dr. Jacob Pederson were exceptional. They were very informative, and also had excellent personalities! Reluctantly, we almost enjoyed being there. Kudos team! You're amazing at your careers.
