Every time I come here I can’t believe how horrible they treat me I will never return for a walk in visit or for a jobs physical I would rather find a different job then to do any business here the doctors don’t want to work or read previous history and they think they know more then a medical team from a Theda hospital and will ignore any notes they write to instead prescribe meds that can’t be taken with current meds and really just want to give vaccines

I have been going to Aurora Westowne for 15 plus years going back to Dr. G. I have not felt disappointed in my care from the staff in the lab, to urgent care, physical therapy, primary care, podiatry, nephrology and so on. My portal messages are always replied to in a timely fashion. I understand also though that Aurora themselves may be short staffed or staff away from the office with leave, off time or illnesses and they do their best. I usually am connected to a nurse or they call me in 24 hours with urgent matters I have even on vacation or I call again and they always help me.

Run far far far away - had a doctor order a lab here, this facility takes the sample Wednesday afternoon, then cancels the lab midday Thursday. No one answered the phone for 4 hours straight for the ordering doctor, me, insurance or for another portion of the clinic trying to contact them. It's now Friday and I still don't have a straight answer on what happened with a 20 minute hold in process. Thank God I'm not in any pain and this test is just non essential (sarcasm) - what an Awful experience.

Part One: The Waiting Room.
This was once a very organized, efficient urgent care facility. I don’t know if it got bought out, but they discontinued the service that allowed patients to phone ahead to reserve a time to see a doctor within 30 minutes. The current system is first come, first served, and you’re given no idea how long the wait will be. “In a while” is the closest estimate the receptionist can offer. If there’s a big back up at a local urgent care clinic, it would be nice to get this info before I commit a long period of time (or my driver’s time) to settle in for what seems to be Aurora’s Leisurely Care, at best.
Other more-accurate name suggestions are “Uncomfortably Long Wait For Care” and “We Don’t Really Care, Because We Only Have One Doctor On Call During Cold & Flu Season.” Or maybe, “We’re Going To Charge You For A Hospital Room” care? Because that’s happened, too.
I’ve been sitting here for 60 minutes now, which is not an easy thing to do with a cough, ache, and fever. Maybe a triage system could be put in place for those who are in actual pain.
To make matters worse, the music in the waiting room is downright bizarre. Icelandic rock musician, Jonsi (!?) gives the whole vibe a surreal feel by singing in an imaginary language he calls “hopelandic.” I call it really grating. If that’s what you’re going for, you nailed it. Just play normal Muzak. I don’t need to feel like I stumbled into a space opera while I’m aggravated and uncomfortable. Surely, most people feel the same?
At any rate, my phone is dying. I just want to leave. But I will stay. More information about the actual visit if I ever make it in to the doctor.
Bring back the online reservation for urgent care spots if you want people to believe you are both urgent and caring.
Or remove the misleading “urgent” from the name. It’s completely misleading.

The doctors are great. But, some of the receptionist need retraining. Whispering and talking about you like you can't hear them is disrespectful and need to be taught manners. Her name is Jenny. In physical therapy receptionist.
