Valhalla Memorial Park has faced challenges in recent years. The road condition and potholes within the cemetery remain a problem, and litter and trash have been observed. The grounds could be better maintained, and the removal of dead trees is overdue. Despite these issues, the staff is excellent, with one staff member going above and beyond to correct a problem.
The cemetary has declined over the last several years. Road condition and potholes remain a problem. Litter and trash everywhere on my visit today. The many dead trees seen 3 years ago still have not been removed. I’m still waiting for a response on the headstone I ordered for my husband. When will it be here?
The staff at Valhalla are excellent. The grounds are not kept up the best. I can understand the challenge of trying to keep the litter off the grounds from the surrounding neighborhood. But the gigantic potholes in the roads within the cemetery, are terrible. I don't understand why they don't repair them.
I visited the family plot and found this cemetery in the worst condition. I saw a couple workers mowing, but there were only shin high weeds in the section our plot is in. Little if any grass. My mother always had a well landscaped yard and my father purchased a memorial tribute tree to be planted in her memory. When my sister and I had him buried a few years later at the same plot, there was no tree. We asked the office and they told us that that was an agreement with the previous owner and they couldn'tdo anything about it.
