I went to Studio M Boudoir for a boudoir maternity shoot. This is my first pregnancy and the first time doing a boudoir photo shoot. I was a little nervous going in because not only was I going to be in lingerie, I was going to be in lingerie while 36 weeks pregnant. Melissa was absolutely wonderful to work with! Not one time did I feel awkward or uncomfortable. She guided me through every shot and made feel relaxed. I also do not consider myself a photogenic person but we looked through the photos afterwards and I was amazed at how great they turned out! If anyone is considering this but is hesitant I would say don’t be and go for it! You will absolutely love it! If I am to ever do a boudoir shoot again I will definitely be going back to Melissa!
When I decided to do a shoot with Melissa I was nervous and excited, like I was doing something a little taboo, but still celebrating the divine feminine. When I arrived at the studio on the morning of my shoot, my nervousness faded quickly; I felt like I had fallen into the arms of old friends. While the ladies did my hair and makeup we all talked and got to know each other. We looked through my bag of lingerie options and talked through expectations for the shoot. They made me feel absolutely beautiful. When Melissa designed the shots she walked me through poses without making me feel stupid or nervous at all. Quite the contrary, I felt incredible. Sexy. Empowered. When I saw the proofs for the first time I honestly didn’t know they were of me! I keep asking, “Is that really me?” I was in absolute disbelief. Thank you, Melissa, for helping me see myself in a new light and for helping me celebrate my body for all it has been, all it is now, and all it will be. 💗
