Terrible system, which is upsetting because most of the UW Health Care system is pretty good. To get your supplies, you have to call to place an order. Nine times out of ten, you don’t reach a human in the department you need, so you must leave a voicemail with your order and hope and pray that someone hears it and processes it. You can try calling a day or two later to confirm but good luck reaching anyone. I even got sent to voicemail when my call was forwarded to the supervisor. Once you get past the front desk, things go reasonable well. The front desk staff are as useful as wet socks while hiking. They are rude and pretend like they do not see you standing there. If you do finally try to let them know you are there for an appointment, they act like you just disturbed their hammock swinging over the ocean waves while sipping an lovely umbrella drink. Find another location or see if you can get in undetected by the front desk staff.

The last time I used UW Health Care Direct was 4 (?) years ago. It was terrible! Because my insurance only covers them, I was back to day for a new cpap machine. From the moment I entered I was greeted (!) and told that Liz would be with me shortly.Liz was a pleasure to deal with. Professional, funny, informative. Whatever she's making, pay her more. Her hire people just like her.Anyway, she went through options, explained things thoroughly and answered all my questions.I left with my new cpap machine and all the equipment I needed for a good night's sleep tonight.There aren't any other good options in town for cpap stuff, but UW Health seems to have turned things around,...read full review
