Thomas offered me tea, helped me get comfortable, and asked me about my hair, what I’d like to do with it, and told me about their approach to hair. Thomas did a great job following my preferences for the cut, and I learned so much from them about basic hair styling/care (plus food suggestions as a new Madisonian)! I will happily go back to Midwest Beauty House.“

“Love my nails! Natural nail with French manicure. Simple, classic and long lasting. It's been almost 4 weeks and they look as good as the first day I got this set. I've gotten so many compliments! I work in the hospital so I'm always washing my hands and was worried about lifting but these babies have not lifted. I love my nail tech's attention to detail and the nail prepping process. “Wonderful massage (and I am picky about my massages). The place is a little wacky just to let you know. They require payment in cash prior to the service. Not a big deal except we barely scraped together enough for our one hour (deep tissue) sessions. They don't have a website so we didn't know until we were ready to start. That aside, I would totally go back because the massage was solid.“

“I have hair that is difficult to cut well. It is thin and very very flat. And I have a couple spots that are extra thin to make it even more challenging. My hair is unforgiving and broadcasts across a room if the cut is the teeniest bit uneven. Serena gives me AMAZING haircuts. I love my haircuts from Serena. And for the first time in my life I've gotten compliments on how the back of my haircut looks from multiple people including my mother. Also hair styles from Serena grow out Really well. I don't feel like the back of my hair is all weird- my hairs all grow out nicely together when Serena cuts it.“

“I found Pinky's because I wanted something fun for an upcoming vacation and I was not disappointed. A couple highlights of my first (but definitely not last) visit. 1. I got caught up with a work call and was running late and she was very gracious to me and I was able to keep the appointment. 2. I was able to make the appointment via text and therefore able to send the inspiration pictures from Pinterest to her so she could tell me ahead of time if she could do it or not. 3. She already had the stamping plate set out when I arrived so even thought I was late she was efficient with her time (and mine) 4. She was a delight to talk with during the pedicure. 5. She encouraged me to put some glitter on the plain nails and they were gorgeous!! They looked so good in the Hawaiian sun 6. With the stamping, art, gel polish AND bonus glitter...the price was the same as I pay to just get "boring" regular polish at other salons. As noted in another review I read, she doesn't have a chair with the footbath so I wasn't expecting that. But I am so happy with the results. Plus, 2 weeks later they still look great!“
