The HR department is one of the most corrupt individuals I have ever met. she has zero resources for launching her work place investigations... I would never send anyone to work at such an immature facility. understand their once a month workplace and play appreciations? Is just food given to you once a month and if you work on 3rd shift that food is so cold and so nasty that it's probably unsafe to consume. last time we were given salads.....freaking lettuce...and some condiments. given to use in the same tubs were use on the factory floor. that's what their once a month are employee appreciation is lettuce. or a hand shake 2 months after you stayed late 1 day to help clean a line as fast as hell just so they could run production. and 2 months later. I was given a handshake. there is no profit sharing there's absolutely zero incentives of any kind. what you're starting wages which is $23.46 as a material handler... we'll never go up not on your 30-day review not on your 60-day review nor your 90 day review. This place was so unorganized this is the first place that I've never received a 60-day review or a 90-day review. They just skipped it along with many others included. they recently fired a newly made grandmother because she hurt her back. this woman was a very diligent worker and they let her go all because the method they had are working she ended up hurting her back... this is after HR and a supervisor hurt her making her reenact the the incident that hurt her back. she reinjured her back during the display...and then she was let go. there have been incidences where folks have been injured at work and have been put in wheelchairs and Marathon she's still expected them to come into work every single day in the wheelchair and perform light duty work...IN A WHEELCHAIR. This is not a safe nor enjoyable place to raise a family. you cannot rely on Marathon cheese for an income.

Marathon Cheese is a fast-growing company and a wonderful place to work. From the Executives at the top in the corporate office, down to the plant managers and supervisors at each of the plants, you can tell they truly care about each individual and fostering personal and professional growth. The local Plant Manager in Mountain Home, consistently shows that he cares about each employee, he welcomes creativity, he is always looking for ways to improve processes and procedures, and most importantly, he leads by example. Our HR manager is one of the kindest people I have ever met. He greets everyone by name, and checks in not only to see how work is going, but inquires about family, friends, and even the dogs. He has been a wonderful mentor and has been open to sharing his wealth of knowledge regarding this industry and his experience in the human resource field. The culture at Marathon Cheese is one of the best I have worked for. While it is a fairly large corporation, it feels like a small family business. This is showcased through their open communication, training employees to grow with the company, a great benefits package, and each month, they hold Employee Appreciation events. Everyone is authentic and you can tell that they love what they do. Training processes are great and focused on making people feel safe and comfortable in their role. The supervisors are always willing to help and take time out of their busy schedule to make sure employees have what they need to do their job. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity I have had to work at Marathon Cheese.
