I just started so I'll have to come back and update the review. First impression. This is a great gym. It feels like a family already. Billie and the team are down to earth. I've been to other gyms, but I'm still a novice. Team Curran Madison is welcoming and willing to meet me where I'm at skill level wise. And they are family friendly. They just held a fight night event, kids were allowed to watch and hang out with other kids. Can't beat it.
Instruction is solid but what really sets this place apart is the culture. People genuinely want to see you improve, there’s no ego on the mats, and higher belts take the time to help newer students without being asked. Safety is a priority, tapping is respected instantly, and coaches keep an eye on rolls to make sure things stay smart, not reckless. It feels less like a gym and more like a team.
If you’re on the fence about starting Jiu-Jitsu, this is the kind of place that makes the learning curve feel a lot less scary. Highly recommend.
