Last year I hired Kollath for both tax planning and tax prep. For the tax planning, they gave me directions of what to sell with a planned result of about a $350 return. When they later presented my 1040, I owed over $2,600. Later, I reran the 1040 using FreeTaxUSA and came up with about $200 less owed. Ouch!!!! Lesson learned.

They'll file a sloppy return on your behalf, subjecting your business to an unwarranted audit, and then bill you top rates for providing the IRS with the clarity they failed to provide in the first place. Shady is an understatement.

Biggest joke ever! Stay away! Dishonest, horrible advise and when we called to ask why he told us something else all he would say is well I understand that it's not what you expected and you want to go somewhere else next year. Then to top it off it cost $800 and his response to that is there's a lot to go into it and we raised prices due to inflation. If you want to go over something I will gladly go over it but it will cost more. Really, more than $800 and you never even called us to ask any questions, we filled out all the paperwork for them, they did absolutely nothing besides put numbers in the correct boxes.
